Completed my Mphill from prestigious NFSU, Gandhinagar along with completing my certification in Perinatal Mental Health therapy from NIMHANS BANGALORE. A gold medalist throughout my tenure as a student. I happen to have privileged of working in various government hospitals, NGO's, institutions and DFS (Dept of Forensic sciences) to hone my skills thus giving me an opportunity to work with different clients and differing issues. I extensively worked in the field of MH especially trauma, grief, sexual abuse, relationship and family. I, however with years of experience realise that human emotions such as active listening, empathy, compassion and being able to deploy my learned and acquired skills in the field of Mental Health lead me to be client centric, providing unconditional positive regard which helps me not only heal and treat clients but also help them in developing sustainable coping mechanisms in place, thus becoming my personal philosophy of life.
I believe in strong rapport, trust, respect, factual and honest communication to be the baseline for any therapeutic alliance. I also tailor the clients requirements using various therapeutic techniques such as using CBT, RET, ACT, EMDR, IFT and many more alike.Closely worked with people with trauma, grief, sexual assault and abuse along with anxiety, mood disorders, body image issues, relationship, family and couples therapy is also an important part of my experience in the past years.
My core belief about therapy and therapeutic alliance is of trust, strong rapport and being able to aid the client in ways that makes them sustainable and helps them developing coping mechanisms and understanding their schemas and beliefs. Making them identifying the above will help them have a nurturing relationship with themselves, which I aim at as a therapist.
I strongly believe in goal setting mutually with the client, putting in the effort and work comes from both the therapist and the client, I however believe that constant support and motivation keeps and helps in reaching them.
I measure therapeutic success in ways how clients feel, perceive their EQ, decision making and overall holistic health.
